Elizabeth Ansley

As an artist I see the brilliance in the light and color of daily experiences, my palette expressing these visual sensations. As a working artist and elementary art teacher with 575 students (yes, you read that right), my days are filled with an overabundance of personal interactions and the beauty of supporting students in their creative process. Creating art helps refocus my energies and intention to be present with myself. Thematically, my paintings are often deeply personal; qualitatively, they are meditative, restful, and invigorating. Currently, I am working on a body of work about the abstraction of the inwardness of myself, my being from a cellular level and the cells I brush up against in the world around me. I reside in Denver, Colorado with my dog and two wonderful young-adult children.
